Pub. L. 119-38 · Deadline: December 19, 2025 · Status: not in compliance

The law passed 427–1.
The government didn’t comply.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act required the Justice Department to publish its Epstein files by December 19, 2025. DOJ missed the deadline, is withholding records, and has not published the redaction log the law requires. A federal court has found its justifications non-compliant. Congress can enforce its own law — if constituents ask.

Why calling works

Congressional offices tally constituent calls by topic and report them to the member. A specific, actionable request tied to the member’s own committee power is weighted far more than a generic complaint. The scripts here are generated from each member’s actual record and actual committee seats. Be polite to the staffer — they’re tallying, not deciding. If lines are busy, the Capitol switchboard is (202) 224-3121.
